Pastor Karl Jerome Minor was born in
Greenville Mississippi, to the parents of the late Reverend E. D. Minor and
Beatrice Minor. He is married to Bianca Archibald-Minor. Together they have
seven children, five adults Quincy, Eakita, Marcus, Philip and Michael, and two
elementary aged children Archibald and Alexander. Pastor Minor is also a
Grandpa to three awesome children Sarah, Cameron and London. His father
was a Baptist Minister who was a Pastor of multiple churches in the Mississippi
Delta for forty-two years. Pastor Minor accepted Christ and was baptized
at the age of 17.
In 1978, after graduating from Greenville High School, he
moved to Houston, Texas where he spent 7 years as a sub-contractor building
homes and apartments in the Houston Area. In 1979, he joined Greater New Hope
Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend Philip
Herman Leon Price. Reverend Price personally discipled and mentored
Pastor Minor until he was ordained as a Deacon in 1981. Pastor Minor was
called and licensed to preach the Gospel in August 1983. While at Greater
New Hope, he served in the capacity of Sunday School Teacher, Assistant Sunday
School Director, a dedicated member of the male chorus, Youth Choir President,
and Associate Minister. In 1984, Pastor Minor became a member of the
Greater Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church and began serving as the
Children’s Church Minister and later as the Assistant to Pastor Ralph Douglas
West.
Pastor Minor’s
educational training included his attendance at Houston Community College and
University of Houston and Western Governors University in Marketing Management.
He graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1995 with and
Associates of Divinity. He graduated from B.H. Carroll Theological Institute
with a graduate Degree in Theology (B.A. equivalent). He is
currently matriculating in the Masters of Religion program at
Carroll. He is certified in various relationship development
programs, leadership and team building trainings programs. Some of these
consist of John Maxwell’s leadership training, Carson Institute, Life
Innovation’s Prepare/Enrich Trainer, and American Association of Christian
Counseling. He served on various Boards through the years. Some of them
include: Houston Metropolitan, One Church/One Child Adoption and Foster Care,
Union Baptist Association. He is the Founder of Minor Edge Leadership and
Ministry Development which is a Church Consulting Ministry Designed to help
Pastors, their staff, and their leadership obtain the skills of a cutting Edge

Organizations maintain a balanced life.
Pastor Minor’s

Statement is:
God has called me to
reconcile people back to Him, to themselves, and to each other. To that
end, He has given me the gifts of preaching, Teaching, Shepherding and wisdom
so that His Kingdom will be expanded and His name would be glorified.
Pastoral History
November 1987,
alongside Pastor Ralph Douglas West and thirty other members; he helped to
organize Brookhollow Baptist Church also known as The Church Without
Walls. In 1988, Pastor Minor was ordained to function as
the Assistant Pastor of Brookhollow Baptist Church. The church has grown
immensely over the past twenty-two years and is now ministering to over
twenty-one thousand members in three locations. Over the past twenty-six
years, Pastor Minor has been a part of the development of most
of the church’s ministry.
Pastor Minor’s love and
passion for young people lead him to serve beyond The Church Without Walls and
now the Church of Grace Fellowship. Pastor Minor served from
2004-2008 as the Team Pastor for the Prairie View A&M Football team. In that
four year period, he led over sixty-eight players into a relationship with
Christ and discipled three hundred young men and women in a closer walk with
God. In 2009, he began serving as the Athletic Team Pastor at Texas Southern
University, where he provides the spiritual leadership over the entire Athletic
Department. Through his bible studies, life Coaching, counseling
sessions, and prayer time with the teams; he encourages many including Coaches
and staff to have a deeper faith walk with God.
